LEAD WEDDING DESIGNER
This position is for you if you:
- Dream about creating beautiful, captivating environments
- Love to translate concepts into tangible plans
- Love a good challenge and are energized by finding creative solutions to problems
- Know that the perfect material, object, or knick knack always exists, it’s just a matter of finding it (or making it!)
- Believe intentional, well-thought-out design, no matter how simple, is paramount to an event experience
- Have a great sense of humor and know that a good belly laugh cures all.
We’re currently seeking a Lead Designer to join our team in a freelance capacity in our Waltham, MA studio. Ideally, you’re a self-starter with experience in event design, though we’re open to other situations for the right fit.
The Lead Designer will report to TLT’s founder, Alexis, and will be an integral member of the TLT team. You’ll be responsible for gathering inspiration and creating a streamlined, cohesive design plan, and carrying out that design plan into a tangible finished product.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (AMONG OTHERS):
- Working directly with the client to uncover their design aesthetic
- Creating foundational design inspiration
- Creating detailed design plans
- Sourcing rental items, specialty decor, and other items as they pertain to implementing the design
- Assisting in wedding setup and styling, as needed
REQUIREMENTS:
- A positive, “can do” attitude. A high level of motivation, commitment, follow through, and initiative
- 3+ years of experience in a design-related role
- Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
- Demonstrated ability to take design from concept to execution
- Having a car is a (big) plus!

WEDDING PLANNING INTERN
This position is for you if you:
- Are insanely organized. Like, your to-do-list has a to-do-list kind of organized
- Are a hard worker willing to spend extra time and energy on your tasks to ensure they’re done correctly
- Love a good challenge and are energized by finding creative solutions to problems
- Enjoy hands-on work, like assembling stationery suites, building and breaking down boxes, packing and unloading equipment, sorting orders, etc.
- Think reading through checklists and timelines with a fine toothed comb is fun
- Have a great sense of humor and know that a good belly laugh cures all.
We’re currently seeking interns to assist with wedding planning and production in our Waltham, MA studio. Ideally, you’re a self-starter studying hospitality or event management as a career, though we’re open to other situations for the right fit.
Interns will report to TLT’s founder and lead planner, Alexis, and will be an integral member of the TLT team. You’ll gain fundamental experience in wedding planning and design and will work on projects requiring organization, creativity, and problem solving skills. You’ll work both in the office on administrative work, and onsite on event days, to ensure full exposure of each facet of event planning.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (AMONG OTHERS):
- Placing orders for decor, tracking shipments, checking shipments for accuracy when they’re received
- Maintaining client and vendor correspondence
- Assisting with implementing a creative plan
- Sourcing specialty decor and gifts, packing decor items for transport to and from wedding days, cleaning and prepping rental items for wedding days
- Maintaining rental inventory sheets
- Drafting meeting agendas, timelines, and other necessary documents
- Drafting mood boards, color stories, and other necessary documents
- Assisting in wedding setup and breakdown.
REQUIREMENTS:
- A positive, “can do” attitude. A high level of motivation, commitment, follow through, and initiative
- Organization and time management skills
- A passion to learn about the weddings and special events industry
- Weekend availability
- Having a car is a (big) plus!

ONSITE EVENT ASSISTANTS
This position is for you if you:
- Enjoy seeing small pieces of a puzzle come together to create a larger experience
- Are detail oriented and highly organized
- Enjoy working as part of a team
- Can solve problems independently
- Are seeking experience in events and/or weddings.
A positive attitude, ability to be on your feet all day (sometimes in inclement weather or high heat), weekend availability, and a willingness to travel throughout New England are required. Having a car is a plus!
