Last Thursday we had the honor of having our New England Nautical meets West Coast Whimsical inspiration shoot featured on Style Me Pretty’s main page!

The idea for this shoot came about (like most great ideas do!) over a glass of wine with friends, and I was head over heels in love with the concept of creating an inspiration shoot based on the contrast between the typically buttoned-up, preppy, and classic New England style and the more relaxed bohemian California style. My personal aesthetic leans more towards the Left Coast feel, but there are elements of New England that I (of course) can’t live without.

I was absolutely smitten with this shoot from start to finish, and was lucky enough to work with amazing teammates who each made some pretty awesome contributions to the final vision, including Sweet Annie Floral Design, Paper Moss, BHLDN, Laura Hooper Calligraphy, Shindig, Porcelain and Stone, Chickadee Hill Cakes, Tada Makeup. Finally, Ruth Eileen Photography captured the day (on film!) absolutely perfectly.
