the details...

I’ll never forget the first time India emailed me and described her upcoming wedding to Todd. Among other things, she said “The event is going to be an english country garden / bohemian style very relaxed very easy day. we are getting hitched in the groom’s parents back yard, behind a 300 year old white house and in the shade of a sweet little rustic barn. Very low key, very love filled.” Very low key, very love filled. It’s easy to see why the soon-to-be Grinnell-Beauforts and I were smitten from the start!

Todd and India live in Los Angeles and were originally planning a wedding there, but ultimately decided it didn’t feel enough like them. So, they scrapped their plans and agreed that Todd’s parents backyard in West Newbury would be the perfect fit, and even serve as the perfect halfway point for their friends in LA and the bride’s family in England. And that it certainly did – almost 200 of their nearest and dearest came from all over the country and from across the pond and filled that backyard with so much joy, so much laughter, and so much love. It was palpable throughout the evening, and can even be felt through these magical photos.
