Made in March Photography
the details...

For this editorial shoot, I focused on using loose, feminine textures to infuse elegance and softness into an otherwise natural and raw setting. We loved creating contrast throughout the elements of the day. We began in a traditional New-England style space ripe with walnut wood, cottage-style clapboard, and wainscotting. We contrasted these traditionally rustic-leaning elements using refined and graceful table settings and understated and feminine florals with a plant-dyed silk runner and sea salt details. In true New England fashion, we were graced with one unseasonably warm day in mid-April, and as such, couldn’t resist heading to the nearest beach for some portraits while drinking in the first sunshine of the season. Since no one was expecting the sun and warm temperatures that day, we had the untouched landscape and beautiful light all to ourselves!
