the details...

The second we laid eyes on the Elm Bank Reservation, we knew we had to make use both of the beautifully traditional, perfectly manicured european gardens, but also the wild, overgrown forest located right outside of the garden’s gates to produce this shoot.

We conceptualized a bride and her bridesmaids spending a fun few hours wandering through the overgrown areas of the space and enjoying some cocktails and each other’s company before heading to the garden for a romantic and modern al fresco dinner along the garden’s hedges. The brass chalice fern runner concept is one of the most fun parts of this shoot, and perfectly represents the duality that was the cornerstone of this shoot: traditional but whimsical, refined but wild, elegant but understated. Lastly, we included a bride and groom and, in keeping with the shoot’s theme, aimed to evoke both playful and free-spirited and more serious and sensitive emotion.
